What are the caregiver rates?

Rates vary depending on the level of care required and time needed. Please call our office at 856-338-7700 for pricing. 

What happens if my caregiver is sick or needs time off?

Consistency of caregivers is of utmost importance to us. Our Care Manager keeps you informed about any schedule changes or staffing changes. In the event a caregiver is sick or has time off, another caregiver is oriented to the client’s case and assigned the shift.

What kind of payment do you accept?

We accept Private Pay, Long Term Care Insurance, and Veteran’s Benefits. Please visit our Payment page for more information.

What if I need to speak with someone in the office after business hours?

If you need to speak to our staff after hours, please call our office phone at 856-338-7700, choose the prompt that best fits your needs, and your call will be directed to the On-Call staff. Also, feel free to email caremanager@livewellhomecare.com at any time. However, the best time to reach our staff would be Monday-Friday 9a-5p est

Can I change the home care schedule if I have appointments to keep?

Yes. We ask for notice for any schedule changes, but our caregivers can also assist in taking you to and from your appointments!

How Does Home Care Work?

Companions or Certified Caregivers: Work hourly schedules, assist with errands, appointments, housekeeping, meal preparation, activities, personal care.

24 Hour Care: Several Caregivers work shifts to provide around-the-clock care for those with higher care needs. When working overnight, it is an 8-12 hour shift where the caregiver is working the entire shift, it does not include sleeping breaks.

Live-In Care: This type of care has a main caregiver that is available 24hours, with an 8-hour sleeping time and 3-hour of break time. A second caregiver would be assigned to work on the Live-In Caregiver’s days off. Optionally, there may be overnight staff scheduled if the client does not sleep or needs supervision while the Live-In Caregiver sleeps.

How quickly can home care services start?

While this answer varies, usually we require 3 to 5 days to arrange your start of care, but in some situations, we can start care with 24 hours’ notice. If you or your loved one are being discharged from a hospital or rehab facility, call us and we will get to work immediately on starting your care.

Will my family member/s always receive care from the same caregiver?

Once we find your perfect companion or certified caregiver, we keep them there. However, in the inevitable event that the caregiver is sick or needs time off, we try to use a steady alternate caregiver. We want our clients to see the same friendly and familiar faces as often as possible!

Will I have a choice of who comes to my home?

Absolutely. We pride ourselves on being expert ‘matchmakers’ in caregiving. We get to know our clients before starting care so that we can assign the right caregiver to the case. Whether you both love cooking, crime TV or dancing, our goal is to provide you with the perfect companion.
